Introduction

As an Asian American therapist dedicated to supporting teens, young adults, and couples, I specialize in navigating the intricate layers of depression, anxiety, and OCD, while honoring the profound impact of trauma and intergenerational complexities. My practice is a space where your unique story is heard and understood with deep empathy and evidence-based expertise. I believe that healing is not just about managing symptoms, it is about restoring your relationship with self. For those struggling with the cycles of OCD, I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you reclaim control from intrusive thoughts. When trauma feels like it has rewritten your sense of safety, I incorporate trauma-informed techniques such as Imagery-Reprocessing Therapy to gently shift distressing memories into a narrative of resilience. To address the heavy weight of depression and anxiety, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills for emotion regulation and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you move toward a life aligned with your deepest values. For those navigating intergenerational complexities, I use Narrative Therapy to externalize problems and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to harmonize the different parts of your inner world. For interracial couples, I employ Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to foster secure attachment and bridge cultural divides, ensuring both partners feel seen and understood. Together, we will work toward oneness in the mind, body and spirit.

Education and experience

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance from William Carey University and a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Liberty University. Over the course of my training, I am certified in DBT and CASE interventions. My clinical experience includes inpatient psychiatry and outpatient settings. In both settings, I developed competency in understanding the interplay between medication management and psychotherapy treatment.
